Repeat Prescriptions

Requests may be made by ticking the boxes on the right-hand side of your prescription slip and either bringing it to the surgery or by posting it to us (please enclose a SAE if you wish us to return it by post to you). Alternatively telephone our prescription line 0141-800-7310 and choose option 1. You can also now order your prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page.

Please remember repeat prescriptions can take up to 48hrs.That does not include the time your pharmacy takes to deliver.

If you have been discharged from hospital, please contact the surgery if you require any medication or a review appointment.

If you are on a certain regular long-term medication, you may be asked to make an appointment for a check-up to monitor your condition and treatment. If your medication rarely changes please ask at reception about repeat dispensing as this will save you time when ordering your prescriptions.

Local Pharmacy Collection Service

Some local pharmacies offer a prescription collection service. The pharmacy will collect your prescription from the GP surgery and either:

    • Dispense your medication for collection from the pharmacy

    • Deliver your medication to your home

    • Deliver your medication to your place of work. You must be available to sign for your own medication at your place of work.

Some pharmacies also now offer a prescription ordering service.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
