Our practice nurses run a number of clinics to monitor and manage chronic illness. They also provide health promotion, well person clinics, travel health advice, travel vaccinations, flu and pneumonia vaccinations, smoking cessation support and a wide variety of general nursing care.
Our healthcare assistant works under the supervision of a qualified nurse and carries out a range of procedures such as blood pressure checks, taking blood, urine testing, and flu vaccination. She also runs the phlebotomy service, with clinic on Thursday and Friday mornings.
Our reception team are here to assist you with booking appointments, repeat prescriptions, requests for house calls and all general enquiries. Their job if often very busy and demanding and we would ask you to be patient if they are not always able to deal with you immediately. All non-medical staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and other healthcare professionals and will always deal with your problems and enquiries in a discreet and courteous manner.
The district nurses are attached to surgery but based at Govanhill Health Centre.

Our health team offer support, advice and information to people of all ages both in the home and the medical centre. They have particular responsibility for families with young children and hold a Baby Clinic every Wednesday. They can be contacted on 0141-232-9855 during working hours.
