Covid 19 and other useful information

From  1st April 2022, COVID enquiries will no longer be diverted to NHS24 on 111 when the surgery is open, during normal working hours.  If you have severe COVID-19 symptoms and need further advice, call the surgery on our usual number only call NHS24, 111 when the surgery is closed.  Always call 999 in an emergency. Visit https://nhsinform.scot or https://www.gov.scot/coronavirus-covid-19/for further covid information and guidance.

Please note, as the risk of COVID-19 is still at a substantial risk, we ask all patients to wear face coverings and socially distance when in the surgery to protect vulnerable patients. Do not attend the Practice unless we advise you to do so

Changes to Travel Vaccinations

From 1st April 2022, travel vaccinations, travel advice or travel health services will no longer be carried out in general practice.

The guidance we have received, is that you will need to attend a vaccination centre. Only 4 travel vaccinations are available on the NHS (Typhoid, Hepatitis A, DPT and Cholera) at no direct cost to the patient. Any other vaccinations will incur a cost to the patient, as at present.

Travel information is available on  https://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/home The website allows patients to select your destination  and then view the requirements for the destination. Further information can also be found on the Greater Glasgow & Clyde website- https://www.nhsggc.scot/your-health/general-vaccinations/overseas-travel-vaccinations

We strongly recommend you do this at least six weeks prior to travel!

Alternatively you can arrange to attend a private travel clinic where charges will apply.

Good News! You can now order your prescriptions online or using the Patient Access app on your phone. Please come into the practice and pick up your registration letter from reception today!

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
